  • Lakes: Fish for bass, northern pike and pan fish on peaceful, motor-free, 80-acre Hoinville Lake. Canoes, rowboats, inner tubes and a swimming raft are available at the sandy beach. You'll find 11-acre Lake Julia nestled near the Pine Village Lodge. The beach area is cleared and lit in winter for ice skating and broom ball.
  • Namekagon River: A Wisconsin wild river-excellent for tubing and canoeing.
  • Wildlife: Eagle and deer sightings are common here. Check out the many books on wildlife and plant life at our library.
  • Trails: More than 20 miles of beautiful wilderness trails are just outside your doorstep. Perfect for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and groomed for cross-country skiing.
  • Campfires: Fire rings are located in several places around the Heartwood grounds.
  • Sports and games: From tennis to basketball to volleyball, our courts are ready when you are. Play soccer or softball on our 10-acre athletic field. All needed equipment is available.
  • Relax: There are pianos to play, or you can find a quiet spot to read a book. Another option: Simply pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the outdoors and sun.
