Heartwood Resort COVID-19 Wellbeing Plan

Amid Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns Heartwood Resort places the highest priority on the health and safety of our guests and team. Our thoughts go out to all those affected, and our heartfelt thanks go out to our front-line workers. We hope all our communities return to good health soon.

Stay in your private cabin or room, enjoy the private lake on our canoes or simply hit the miles of scenic trails for a hike among our 700 acres. We have wi-fi availability in the resort and cabins so you can keep in touch with your friends, family, and even work remotely. We place a premium on cleanliness, and our housekeeping standards will make you feel safe and comfortable. Your level of privacy or interaction is entirely up to you.

Out of an abundance of caution our restaurants are closed, but our culinary team is working on some delicious and innovative meal ideas available for delivery, along with your choice of beers and wine to enjoy in your cabin We are looking forward to beginning outdoor dining in mid-July and transitioning to opening our facilities in the lodge in August. We are providing wood pellet or propane grills for those who choose to cook near their cabin or on the veranda of the lodge. Check back often as we gradually recreate Heartwood’s food and beverage experiences.

Upon arrival at the Welcome Center located at the entrance to Heartwood Resort, please only have one member of your party enter to let us know you are here. For your safety, we will have masks on and hand sanitizer available. We will get you registered, give you a map to your lodging and parking areas, and you can be on your way.

To help you feel confident in planning your visit and while you are here, we have taken these steps protect your health and wellness during this time of uncertainty:

  • Personal Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. Our team are continually reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It is important for their health and that of our guests. Hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the resort.
  • Masks: We require that all our employees wear a mask. It is highly encouraged that our guests wear masks when encountering other guests and social distancing is not possible. We would remind you to stay 6 feet away from other guests when using the public areas. Masks are available at the Welcome Center.
  • Cleaning Products and Protocols: We have worked with our suppliers, using the best anti-bacterial disinfectants to make sure our cabins, lodge, and public are clean. We are constantly cleaning and disinfecting shared surfaces like elevator buttons, remotes, handrails, door handles, and key cards readers.
  • Housekeeping: This year we will not be entering cabins or rooms during your stay, so if you need a change of linens, you can leave them outside your door and Housekeeping will stop by to replace them, pick up trash, and drop off needed supplies. Please call Housekeeping if you need or desire additional services and we will make sure someone responds to your needs as quickly as possible.

We continue to closely monitor COVID-19 situation and will update our cleaning and safety protocols
